He stepped into the cage with all intentions to win
Not a doubt in his mind, just like the other matches had been
He was calm, confident, and then it began
Unfortunately, this time it didn’t go as he’d planned
He struggled, he strived, boy, he really did fight
And after all of his efforts, and deep into the night
A victory was awarded, and all manner of praise

For the fans in the stands, he’d been beaten to hell
Then the critics arose from their cold seats in the back
Every finger they could point, they pointed with attack
“He was slow, he was awkward, did he even train?” they’d shout
So bold these cowards to destroy the boy who’d fought his heart out
After the lights went dim and he sat with just the closest of friends
He pondered all the negativity and came to a decision
It’s better to be on the other side of a win, then to simply never ever have been.
I've heard of a place, where the men stand tall, and every woman can hold her own. Victory and defeat abound here, but true courage, in each, is shown. It is said far and wide, this is where true Warriors abide, where there's power through knowledge and training. The legend goes that for each of their foes battles prove rough and straining. Everyone's equal there, each one with their goals, striving 'till greatness is found. Battling it out amongst themselves, improving round after round.
